Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) organized an informative workshop on “Dragline Planning and Simulation System” on Wednesday at NCL’s Management Development Institute (MDI) in Singrauli.
Professor S. S. Rai from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, provided a comprehensive explanation of the current dragline operations at the Amlohri Project. The workshop included a demonstration of the DRAGSIM software, which is designed to optimize equipment productivity and waste management.
During the session, NCL’s General Manager of Excavation, Shri Bharatendu Kumar, highlighted the critical role draglines play in NCL’s operations.
The workshop saw the participation of 29 individuals from NCL’s dragline and mining sectors, who engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing performance.
The session covered both vertical and horizontal tandem operations of draglines, showcasing potential improvements and productivity gains.
