Yesterday, Mr. Sanjay Swarup, CMD of CONCOR, met Mrs. Jaya Varma Sinha, Chairman & CEO of the Railway Board, along with Mr. Masanori Nagaya, Director of M/s Innovation Thru Energy (ITE), Japan. During the meeting, Mr. Swarup apprised Mrs. Sinha of innovative cold chain logistics solutions utilizing ITE’s patented ‘Ice Battery’ technology, which has been adopted by CONCOR.
This unique passive cooling technology eliminates the need for a diesel-based DG set to maintain the cold chain during transportation. It represents a significant step towards providing environmentally friendly cold chain logistics solutions. Additionally, the technology maintains the required humidity and freshness for up to 72 hours, making it ideal for temperature-sensitive products.
CONCOR has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITE Japan, and trial movements using the ice battery technology fitted in containers for temperature-sensitive cargo have already been carried out.
CONCOR remains committed to innovation and the development of unique, eco-friendly products to enhance customer satisfaction.
