BEML Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy as Director of Human Resources, following his selection by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel in March 2024. Shri Satpathy, who was previously serving as the Executive Director-HR at BEML Ltd., brings over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Development across both Central and State Government sectors.
Shri Satpathy began his distinguished career as an Executive Trainee at the Nagaon Paper Mill of Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd. in Assam. Over the years, his exceptional leadership and proficiency led him to progress to the role of Manager HR within 15 years.
In 2011, Shri Satpathy joined BEML Limited in Bangalore, where he initially headed the Industrial Relations and Recruitment Department. He later led the personnel department of BEML’s rail coach unit at the Bangalore Complex, contributing significantly by introducing SAP HCM modules and developing custom IT modules for HR processes.
He has played a crucial role in negotiating pay revisions and long-term settlements with unions. Additionally, he has been actively involved in implementing Government of India initiatives such as CSR, Swachh Bharat, and Skill India. Shri Satpathy holds a B.Sc (Honors) and an MA in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Berhampur University, underscoring his strong academic foundation in the field.
