Shri Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), POWERGRID, participated as a distinguished panellist in the leadership session titled “The Era of the Electrostate: Electrification, Grid Expansion, and Electrotech Pathways to Robust, Accessible, and Clean Final Energy” at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 being held in Goa.
The high-level panel brought together global and national energy leaders, including H.E. Mr Ahmed Al Kaabi, Undersecretary Assistant for Electricity, Water and Future Energy, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE; Shri Prince Dhawan, IAS, Executive Director, REC Limited; and Shri Suman Chandra, Director, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The discussion focused on the need for smart, resilient, reliable and flexible power grids to enable a sustainable and inclusive energy transition.
Separately, Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), Shri Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations), and Shri Vibhay Kumar, Executive Director (WR-I), POWERGRID, visited the Ministry of Power Pavilion at IEW 2026. During the visit, POWERGRID showcased its advanced technological capabilities, grid modernisation initiatives, and sustainability-driven solutions supporting India’s expanding electricity infrastructure.
The organisation also highlighted the upcoming Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, scheduled to be held at Yashobhoomi, Delhi, from 19–22 March 2026, which will serve as a key national platform for dialogue on the future of India’s power sector.
The engagements reaffirmed POWERGRID’s central role in strengthening India’s transmission network and advancing a secure, reliable, and future-ready power system aligned with the country’s clean energy goals.
