At India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, GAIL (India) Limited highlighted the evolving role of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India’s energy transition during a leadership session on “Positioning GCCs at the Convergence of Energy Transformation, Talent, and Cutting-edge ER&D.” The discussion focused on how GCC 3.0 models are reshaping innovation, workforce development, and energy-sector resilience.
The session featured senior leaders from global energy organisations and was moderated by EY India. The panel examined how India is emerging as a strategic hub for advanced engineering, digital innovation, and research-driven energy solutions, supported by a strong talent ecosystem and policy alignment.
GAIL shared insights on building future-ready organisations by embedding values-driven leadership and inclusive workplace practices. The discussion underlined the importance of organisational culture in sustaining innovation, with emphasis on leadership accountability and value-based decision-making as key enablers of long-term transformation.
The session also highlighted unique people-focused initiatives aimed at talent retention and workforce motivation. In addition, the organisation outlined its enterprise-wide artificial intelligence capacity-building programme, which equips employees with AI skills through a structured learning framework and develops internal AI champions.
