NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PTC India Ltd for the sale of 1,200 MW solar power under a bilateral arrangement. This is one of the largest renewable energy deals signed recently.
The PPA was exchanged in the august presence of Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, MD & CEO of PTC India, and Dr. J. S. Chandok, CEO of ONGPL, along with other senior officials from NGEL, NTPC REL, and PTC India Limited.
This 1,200 MW solar power agreement marks a major milestone in strengthening collaboration between the two organisations. It will play a key role in helping India achieve its ambitious target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel energy capacity.
