Bharat Electronics and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited are leading India’s defence manufacturing sector with new orders and growth.
Defence Public Sector Undertakings such as Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) are showing excellent performance in 2026. Both companies have received big orders which will strengthen India’s defence capabilities.
BEL is doing well in radar systems, electronic warfare, and communication equipment. HAL continues to manufacture advanced aircraft and helicopters for the Indian Armed Forces.
This growth is part of the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission in defence. The aim is to reduce imports and make India self-reliant in defence manufacturing.
These PSUs are not only helping national security but also creating thousands of jobs and supporting many small industries through supply chains.
Experts believe that defence PSUs will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years due to increasing focus on modernisation of armed forces.
