The search for the next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC has reached an important stage. The Shortlist of Candidates (SCSC) for the interview has been released. The interview is scheduled for 4 July 2026.
This is one of the most important appointments in the PSU sector this year because NTPC is India’s largest power company.

The next CMD of NTPC will play a very important role in shaping the future of the company, especially in the areas of renewable energy, green hydrogen, and thermal power expansion.

The final selection will be made after the interview on 4 July 2026. The entire PSU sector is waiting for this important decision. Whoever is selected will lead India’s largest power producer at a very crucial time when the country is rapidly moving towards clean energy.
