SANDEEP KUMAR | : – NBCC (India) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) to develop Naveen Nagpur as a state-of-the-art International Business & Finance Center (IBFC). The MoU was formalized in the presence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with senior officials from NBCC and NMRDA.
Spanning approximately 1,710 acres, the project will feature a 1,000-acre business district and 710 acres reserved for future expansion. Naveen Nagpur will adopt a plug-and-play model, incorporating cutting-edge urban infrastructure, including integrated underground utility tunnels, district cooling systems, automated waste collection and segregation plants, and modern commercial and residential developments. The district will support start-ups, MSMEs, IT companies, and commercial offices, alongside mixed-use developments planned in line with town planning regulations.
NBCC has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant for the 1,000-acre business district. The project will be executed in three phases over 15 years, aiming to transform Naveen Nagpur into a globally competitive IBFC, fostering economic growth, generating employment opportunities, and enhancing urban living standards in Vidarbha and Maharashtra.
