On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day Parade, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj will feature a tableau highlighting the transformative SVAMITVA Scheme. The tableau aligns with the overarching themes of Republic Day 2026, ‘Samriddhi ka Mantra: Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Swatantrata ka Mantra: Vande Mataram’, and celebrates the empowerment and dignity that comes with legal property ownership in rural India.
The tableau’s front section features a well-built rural house resting on an open palm, symbolising security, stability, and empowerment. The palm, depicted as a woman’s hand adorned with aalta, signifies women’s rightful place in household ownership. Traditional torans and prominently displayed house keys highlight prosperity and lawful possession, while children playing nearby convey confidence and strengthened family foundations facilitated by Property Cards.
The middle section illustrates the implementation of SVAMITVA through a miniature village model. Activities such as drone-based surveys, chuna marking, and ground-level mapping showcase the transition from unclear land records to authoritative digital property maps, aiding dispute resolution, Panchayat planning, and land monetization. Clean roads, greenery, water bodies, and orderly houses present a vision of rural development and well-being.
The rear section highlights key outcomes of the scheme, including peaceful dispute resolution, access to bank credit through Property Cards, and a Panchayat Bhawan symbolising effective local governance. The tableau captures the journey of self-reliance, dignity, and empowerment brought to citizens, Panchayats, and the nation through the SVAMITVA Scheme.
