Ministry of Ayush Joins Prime Minister’s “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” to Strengthen Women’s Health & Well-Being

Ministry of Ayush has joined hands with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to roll out the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan”, a 16-day national campaign dedicated to women’s health, empowerment, and holistic well-being.

Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with State and Union Territory administrations, Ayush research institutions, educational bodies, industries, NGOs, self-help groups, and community organizations, is mobilizing efforts to promote inclusive women’s healthcare services across India.

The campaign will deliver a comprehensive healthcare package for women, including:

  • Health check-ups and screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease.
  • Maternal and child healthcare services to ensure safe pregnancies and healthier children.
  • Ayush-based interventions for anaemia, lifestyle disorders, and conditions like PCOD.
  • Lifestyle counselling kiosks, yoga sessions, and Prakriti Pareekshan to promote preventive health.
  • Awareness programs on nutrition, hygiene, and stress management, along with voluntary blood donation drives.

The 16-day campaign begins in September 2025, with daily activities designed to address specific aspects of women’s health—from pregnancy to palliative care.

The campaign will be organized nationwide across states, union territories, educational campuses, community centres, and panchayat levels, reaching both urban and rural populations through on-ground activities, media outreach, and digital campaigns.

The initiative aims to strengthen women’s health and empower families by addressing preventable diseases, promoting healthy lifestyles, and building awareness around nutrition, yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic wellness practices. By prioritizing women’s health, the campaign underscores the message that a healthy woman ensures a healthier family and society.

Ministry of Ayush will coordinate with stakeholders to conduct:

  • Screening camps and awareness rallies at the community level.
  • Distribution of home remedies and nutrition kits to support everyday wellness.
  • Educational programs in schools, radio, television, and social media to reach wider audiences.
  • Yoga and Ayurveda-inspired wellness programs to counter stress and burnout among working women.
  • Daily Ayush health tips on anaemia prevention, maternal fitness, herbal nutrition, stress management, and bone health shared digitally.

Self-Help Groups at the panchayat level will play a central role in community mobilization, pledge campaigns, and awareness drives, ensuring the message of women’s health reaches every household.
