Ministry of Ayush is set to present a visually rich and conceptually powerful tableau at the Republic Day Parade 2026, highlighting India’s holistic health vision under the theme “Ayush ka Tantra, Swasthya ka Mantra.” The tableau reflects the integration of India’s traditional systems of medicine with modern public healthcare, aligned with the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
At the centre of the tableau is a symbolic representation of India’s ancient medical wisdom, featuring sculptural depictions of Acharya Charak, Acharya Patanjali and Acharya Agastya seated around a lush mound of medicinal plants. This imagery underscores the deep connection between traditional knowledge, nature and human well-being that forms the foundation of the Ayush systems.
Conceptualised around the National Ayush Mission (NAM), the tableau traces India’s journey of nation-building through health, self-reliance and civilisational continuity. It illustrates how traditional medicine has evolved into an integral component of contemporary public healthcare, reinforcing health as a cornerstone of national resilience and inclusive development.
The narrative progresses to showcase Ayush’s expanding role in digital health and technology-enabled outreach. Visual elements highlight NAM-supported platforms and initiatives such as Supraja for neonatal care, Vayomitra for elderly well-being and Ayurvidya, which introduces Ayush principles at the school level—reflecting a life-cycle approach to healthcare.
An artistic portrayal of Arishadvarga, the six inner obstacles, through expressive puppetry conveys Ayush’s emphasis on mental balance and inner harmony. Community healthcare delivery is depicted through Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush), complemented by visuals of yoga practices, commonly used Ayush medicines and meditative forms symbolising body–mind–spirit integration.
The tableau also celebrates India’s diverse therapeutic traditions through three-dimensional depictions of Marma therapy, Shirodhara and Cupping, along with interactive mascot elements representing key Ayush digital applications. The presentation concludes with an image of a Government Ayurveda Medical College, symbolising institutional strength, education and the evolving role of Ayush in India’s public health and global wellness leadership.
