BPCL, KLJ Group Sign Strategic MoU for 2-Ethyl Hexanol Supply at India Energy Week 2026

A key milestone in strengthening India’s petrochemical value chain was achieved at India Energy Week 2026 with the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and KLJ Group for the supply of 2-Ethyl Hexanol, a vital petrochemical intermediate used across multiple downstream industries.

MoU was signed by Tarun Kumar, General Manager (Sales & Strategy), BPCL Industrial & Commercial Business Unit, and Ravi Gupta, Senior Vice President, KLJ Group, in the presence of Manoj Menon, Business Head (Industrial & Commercial), along with senior officials from BPCL.

The collaboration aims to ensure a stable and reliable domestic supply of 2-Ethyl Hexanol, a key raw material used in the manufacture of plasticisers, coatings, adhesives, and other industrial applications. By strengthening indigenous sourcing and reducing dependence on imports, the partnership is expected to enhance supply chain resilience and support the growth of India’s downstream chemical and manufacturing sectors.

Agreement aligns with national priorities of promoting local manufacturing, building industrial self-reliance, and advancing long-term economic sustainability. It also reflects BPCL’s strategic focus on expanding its petrochemical footprint and supporting customers through dependable supply arrangements and value-driven partnerships.

Through collaborations such as this, BPCL continues to play a proactive role in developing a robust domestic petrochemical ecosystem, fostering industrial competitiveness, and contributing to the broader vision of a future-ready and resilient Indian economy.
