Bank distributes loans, insurance claims and CSR support to promote financial inclusion in Raigad district
The State Bank of India (SBI) organized a mega life security inclusion saturation and awareness camp in Khalapur, Raigad, aimed at obtaining 100% coverage of financial inclusion schemes in gram panchayats and urban local bodies in the district. The initiative is part of the three-month nationwide financial inclusion (FI) campaign launched by the Department of Financial Services.
This program was given by Mr. C. S. Setty, Chairman, SBI, as the chief guest, was explained as the chief guest by Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, Deputy Managing Director, SBI, Mrs. Manju Sharma, Chief General Manager, SBI Mumbai Metro Circle, and other senior officials.
Dedicated counters were established for re-KYC services and account reactivation, allowing customers to update their records, especially from Khalapur and Lonaval talukas, and ensure eligibility for direct profit transfer (DBT) payment under various government welfare schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Setty urged the customers to complete their re-KYC and re-activate the inactive accounts to reach uninterrupted banking and government benefits. He also emphasized SBI’s commitment to promoting financial literacy and digital security among his customers.
The camp showed an awareness session on the prevention of grievance redressal and digital fraud, in which the participants were Equipped With Knowledge to Stay Safe in the Digital Banking Ecosystem.
As part of the day’s proceedings:
• Approval letters were distributed to Mudra loan beneficiaries and self-help groups (SHGS).
• The Beneficiaries Received Claim Settlements under PMSBY and PMJJBY Schemes.
• Under the CSR Initiative of SBI, the bicycle was gifted to the students of the Chillathan High School, a Marathi primary school in Shanti Nagar, Khopoli, which received support for Renewal and Painting.
The camp attracted Enthusiastic Participation, in which many customers were completing the re-kkcc on-site. Community Members and Local Leaders Appreciated SBI’s efforts to bring essential financial services and awareness directly to rural and semi-urban communities.
