REC Limited has pledged to provide financial assistance of Rs 8.41 crore to the Indian Red Cross Society for the purchase and deployment of 7 Mobile Medical Units (MMU) for three years as well as related operational expenditure.
Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) as Chief Guest, President and Vice President of Tamil Nadu State Branch, Honorable Justice Dr. M. Jayachandran (retired), Tirunelveli MLA Mr. Nanar Nagendran as Special Guest and REC Limited as special guest Independent Director of Shri Narayanan Tirupati and REC and other senior officials of Tamil Nadu MMUs were handed over in attendance.
As a part of the ongoing ‘Doctor Your Door’ initiative, MMU will prove to be helpful in providing primary health services to the doorstep of the underprivileged sections of the society in 7 districts of Tamil Nadu.
