POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, for the construction of a 144-bedded girls’ hostel under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Signing ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, along with Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman, ISRO, Prof. Jai Prakash Saini, Vice-Chancellor, MMMUT, and Shri Yugesh Kumar Dixit, Executive Director (NR-III), POWERGRID.
Initiative aims to provide safe and modern accommodation facilities for female students, thereby supporting higher education and promoting gender empowerment in the region. By investing in critical infrastructure, POWERGRID continues to strengthen its commitment to education, inclusivity, and social development through CSR.
Upcoming hostel will not only enhance the learning environment for students but also encourage greater participation of women in technical and professional fields.
