New digital facility empowers customers to open PPF accounts anytime, anywhere through PNB’s online platforms
Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has introduced a fully digital Public Provident Fund (PPF) account opening facility through its PNB One Mobile App, Internet Banking, and official website.
This initiative enables both existing and new-to-bank customers to open a PPF account entirely online through a seamless Do-It-Yourself (DIY) process, eliminating the need for physical documentation or branch visits.
New digital PPF platform underscores PNB’s commitment to financial inclusion and customer convenience, making long-term investment products more accessible to citizens across the country.

- Built-in PPF Calculator: Interactive tool for estimating returns based on tenure and investment amount.

Commenting on the launch, Suresh Kumar Rana, Chief General Manager (HO: BA & RM), PNB, said that the initiative aims to ensure the benefits of PPF reach every corner of India. He added, “This is a completely paperless process—customers can now open a PPF account instantly, from anywhere and at any time, using our digital platforms.”
