Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, celebrated its 36th Annual Day with great enthusiasm across its offices nationwide.
Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, Central Electricity Authority (CEA), attended as Guest of Honour.
In his address, Shri Ghanshyam Prasad congratulated POWERGRID on its founding day and commended the organisation’s pivotal role in strengthening India’s power transmission network.
Dr. R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID, along with the Board of Directors and employees, led the celebrations held across regional headquarters and substations, symbolising the company’s nationwide presence and contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Minister Shri Shripad Naik congratulated all POWERGRID employees and lauded the corporation’s crucial role in building the National Grid, enhancing power reliability, and enabling India’s energy transition towards sustainability and renewables.
