Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has been conferred with the Mahatma Award for Healthcare Excellence 2025, recognising the Energy major’s impactful contribution to healthcare under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives during 2024–25.
The award celebrates ONGC’s large-scale healthcare interventions, notably its flagship projects for the development of 75 anganwadis and upskilling of anganwadi workers across Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, and Nagaland. These initiatives focused on creating safe learning spaces for children, improving nutrition services, and strengthening community-based early childhood care.
Instituted in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi’s values, the Mahatma Awards recognise organisations driving inclusive development, sustainability, and social responsibility. ONGC’s recognition reaffirms its leadership in leveraging CSR for nation-building, particularly in the domain of healthcare and child welfare.
