At the 79th Independence Day celebrations held at the ONGC headquarters in Dehradun, Chairman and CEO Arun Kumar Singh confirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to India’s growth, energy security, and self-reliance.
Singh said in his address on Independence Day, “Every drop of oil, one cubic meter of gas, every megawatt of renewable energy creates a strong and self-sufficient India. His words outlined the role of ONGC as the backbone of the country’s energy sector and its continuous contribution to the creation of a self-reliant India.
Highlighting ONGC’s achievements and future plans, Singh said that the company is focusing on the following:
1. To revive Mumbai High to increase production capacity.
2. Opening marginal valleys to search for new reserves.
3. Green hydrogen projects leading to clean energy infection.
4. Expansion up to 2.5 GW of renewable capacity, strengthening India’s green energy footprint.
He also emphasized that discipline, unity, and innovation are at the core of ONGC’s visit. By balancing fossil fuels with renewable initiatives, ONGC is shaping a future where energy goes hand in hand with security and stability.
The ceremony held in Dehradun included the hoisting of the national flag, patriotic demonstrations, and the participation of employees and their families, which reflects unity towards the Rash Truth and the spirit of collective grief.
