OIL India Limited organized the OIL HR Manthan 2025 (OHRM25) for the first time in its 66-year history. The one-day event was held as a common platform for HR leaders, professionals, and emerging talents, where knowledge sharing, deliberations on current challenges, and future strategies were discussed.
Executives from the company’s nine HR departments, senior management, and young HR executives attended the event. The event started with a welcome address by ED (HR & FA) and lighting of the lamp. This was followed by an address by the RCE and a keynote address by the Director (HR), which set the tone for the discussions throughout the day.
The event reflects OIL’s commitment to “HR 5.0: Agile. Digital. Human. Working on the theme “Transforming HR for a Smarter Future“. This initiative aims to make HR processes more flexible, digital, and human-centric to robustly meet the workforce needs of the future.
In the day-long presentation sessions, various HR branches discussed the current challenges, strategies implemented, and upcoming initiatives, which are in line with OIL’s organizational goals. The highlight of the event was two important panel discussions:
- Enabling the Agile Workforce: Young HR executives shared their thoughts on the changing generation’s expectations and the skills needed for the future.
- Â Building a Future-Ready Workforce: Various department heads discussed leadership development, which was termed as a central pillar of OIL’s growth journey.
Presenting a data-based understanding, the findings of the HRD Climate Survey and the Employee Engagement Survey provided a detailed perspective of workplace culture and employee sentiments.
The event concluded with ‘Way Forward’ deliberations, vote of thanks, and a cultural evening, which further strengthened the collaborative spirit of the day.
The event also saw the launch of the OIL HR Manthan App, which is developed on the SAP Business Technology Platform. This app provides participants with seamless access to program information, archives, and multi-round ManthanQ quizzes, fostering digital engagement.
OHRM25 marks a pivotal step in OIL’s transformative HR journey—a platform where new horizons were pledged to be achieved through collaboration, innovation, and collective growth. With a future-focused, inclusive, and data-driven approach, the event reaffirms the organization’s commitment to building a strong, capable, and human-centric workforce.
