The hosting of the 23rd Vendor Development Meet for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on SJVN’s Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) at 1500 MW was a successful effort today.
Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, the Director (Personnel), SJVN, was the Chief Guest at the event. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, along with Sh. Ashutosh Bahuguna, HOP (NJHPS), and other dignitaries from SJVN’s Corporate Headquarters and various project sites.
While speaking to the guests, Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma noted how the Vendor Development Meets play a very important role in developing an inclusive atmosphere towards the growth and success of MSMEs. He encouraged vendors to understand government guidelines and SJVN’s procurement policies for equitable and smooth participation in the process.
There were sessions on extensive presentations made by delegates from MSMEs, NSIC, National SC/ST Hub for MSMEs, and GeM, giving insights valuable to the vendors that were present. The vendors also narrated their experiences and success stories about working with SJVN. The meeting rounded off with an open forum allowing for a free exchange of views among the vendors and stakeholders on looking at best practices, issues, and strategies on how to improve procurement procedure while adhering to ethical standards.
Those present during the event included Senior SJVN officials including Mr. Manmeet Gupta, Dy. CVO from Corporate Headquarters, Mr. Rajeev Aggarwal-HOP (Sunni Dam HEP), Mr. J.S. Nayyar-HOP (NMHPS), Mr. Vikas Marwah-HOP (Rampur HPS), and Mr. Vivek Sharma-HOP (LHEP-I), etc.
