THDC India Limited, a premier power sector PSU, has been honoured for its exemplary initiatives and performance during Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, observed from 16th to 31st May 2025. The recognition was presented at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan, Ministry of Power, New Delhi, by Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India, to R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director of THDC India Limited. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Power and Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation.
The award acknowledges THDC India Limited’s impactful efforts in promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness across its projects and units. Activities included large-scale cleanliness drives in townships, project sites, and surrounding villages, along with zero-plastic campaigns and sanitation awareness programs. Schools and local communities participated actively through street plays, painting competitions, and Swachhata pledge ceremonies, fostering a culture of mass engagement and social responsibility.
Tree plantation drives were conducted to enhance greenery, while the innovative initiative “Treasure out of Trash” emphasized recycling and transforming waste into valuable resources. Comprehensive social media campaigns were also executed to amplify outreach and awareness.
All activities were systematically documented on the Swachhata Samiksha Portal in compliance with Ministry guidelines, ensuring transparency and accountability. Officials from the Ministry of Power and THDC India Limited were present at the ceremony to witness the recognition of the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable community development.
