As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, POWERGRID has contributed medical equipment and electric vehicle ambulances to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) in Khurda District, Odisha.
The handover ceremony was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Smt. Aparajita Sarangi, Hon’ble MP, Bhubaneswar; Shri Prasanta Kumar Jagadev, Hon’ble MLA, Khurda; Shri Chanchal Rana, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Khurda; and Dr. Sunita Chohan, Chief General Manager (I/c), Odisha Projects, POWERGRID. Also in attendance were Dr. Rajyashree Pattnaik, Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), DHH Khurda, and senior officials from POWERGRID, the hospital, and district administration.
This contribution aims to strengthen healthcare services by enhancing the hospitals’ diagnostic and treatment capacities. It is expected to significantly benefit patients in Khurda and neighboring districts, ensuring access to high-quality medical care for the community.
