Marking a significant milestone in its green journey, ONGC has launched electric buses in Mumbai, taking a bold step toward a sustainable future! 🚍⚡
Aligned with India’s Net Zero 2070 goal, ONGC is on track to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2038. As part of this initiative, the Mumbai Regional Office has introduced two 35-seater electric buses with a 300 km range for eco-friendly staff commutes between Panvel and Bandra. Each bus is set to reduce approximately 23 Metric Tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, reinforcing ONGC’s commitment to minimizing its carbon footprint.
The launch was inaugurated by ONGC Chairman Arun Kumar Singh, alongside Director (T&FS) Om Prakash Singh and Director (Production) Pankaj Kumar, highlighting ONGC’s unwavering dedication to a greener tomorrow. 🌱
With initiatives like deploying 70 electric vehicles and now these electric buses, ONGC is at the forefront of India’s energy transition, championing innovation and sustainability.
