In a major step to bolster healthcare infrastructure in Assam, Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. This MoU, with a total budget of Rs 8.90 crore, marks the beginning of constructing a state-of-the-art 37-bedded multi-storied patient care cabin facility at AMCH, a leading tertiary care referral hospital. This CSR initiative by OIL aligns with India’s development priorities aimed at enhancing healthcare and reducing inequalities, as well as with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’s focus on advancing health and nutrition.
The MoU was signed by Shri Anfor Ali Haque, Resident Chief Executive of OIL, and Dr. Sanjeev Kakati, Principal of AMCH, in the presence of Shri Bikram Kairi, IAS, District Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Shri Madhurjya Barua, Executive Director (HR&FA), Shri Debashis Bora, Chief General Manager (FA), and other senior officials from OIL, as well as doctors and office bearers of AMCH.
