Oil India Limited inaugurated the ‘Climate Academy’ for OIL and NRL, marking the first initiative of its kind by any E&P company in the country to embed ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values across the organization.
In collaboration with a global leader in strategy, climate, and sustainability consulting, this academy aims to build capacity, establish a center of excellence, and drive momentum on the ground through a “train the trainer” approach.
Dr. Ranjit Rath, CMD of OIL, addressed the future climate leaders, emphasizing the importance of safety, achieving parity with global peers, and responsibility to integrate climate-conscious activities into our operations.
This is a foundational step in OIL’s journey toward Net Zero by 2040.
