In a significant step towards sustainable energy solutions, NTPC Limited has signed a contract with M/s Gensol Engineering Limited for the development of a Plasma Gasification-based Green Hydrogen generation plant. This innovative project will utilize Municipal Solid Waste-Refuse Derived Fuel (MSW-RDF) and agricultural waste at NTPC’s NETRA facility.
The project will employ plasma gasification, a cutting-edge technology that converts waste into syngas, which will then be processed to produce 1TPD of Green Hydrogen.
The aim of this project is to convert waste materials into hydrogen, a clean and renewable energy source. This process not only addresses waste management challenges but also contributes to hydrogen production, which is crucial for achieving India’s sustainable energy goals.
