GAIL has commenced the supply of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to Amul’s newly inaugurated Banas Dairy Plant in the Karkhiyaon Industrial Area of Varanasi, an event graced by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
This state-of-the-art facility has a capacity to process 300,000 liters of milk daily, making its operations vital to the dairy supply chain. GAIL’s provision of clean and cost-effective Piped Natural Gas ensures a reliable 24/7 fuel supply for the plant.
The gas supply commissioning ceremony was attended by Shri Sushil Kumar, General Manager and CGD Incharge of Varanasi, along with other senior GAIL officials. Shri Alok Mani Mishra, Plant Head of Amul Varanasi, and his team were also present.
GAIL takes pride in collaborating with Amul, a cooperative that supports the livelihoods of thousands of farmers and cattle owners both locally and across various states. The company encourages more industrial units to adopt Piped Natural Gas for a more efficient, clean, and continuous fuel supply for their operations.
