Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured two substantial contracts from Adani Power Limited and its subsidiary, totaling more than Rs. 7,000 Crore. These contracts are for the construction of supercritical thermal power plants in key locations across India.

One contract involves the Raipur supercritical thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh, with a capacity of 2×800 MW. The second contract pertains to the Mirzapur supercritical thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh, also designed to generate 2×800 MW. BHEL’s responsibilities encompass the manufacturing and supply of main plant equipment, associated auxiliaries, and oversight of erection and commissioning.

BHEL’s extensive expertise is evidenced by its track record of installing over 1,68,000 MW of thermal power capacity nationwide. The company has also been entrusted with 73 sets of supercritical Steam Generators and 68 sets of supercritical Turbine Generators, solidifying its stature as India’s foremost manufacturer of power equipment.

These contracts underscore BHEL’s pivotal role in enhancing India’s energy infrastructure, reflecting its capability to execute large-scale projects essential for the nation’s energy security.
