Shri Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Chairman and Managing Director of REC Ltd., participated in a crucial roundtable discussion titled ‘Exploring Climate Finance Opportunities for Gujarat’ at the 4th Global REInvest conference held in Gandhinagar.
During the discussion, Shri Dewangan emphasized the critical need for increased international finance to meet India’s net-zero targets. He highlighted Gandhinagar’s GIFT-IFSC as a uniquely positioned hub to facilitate this financial support.
Further elaborating on Gujarat’s achievements, Shri Dewangan provided an overview of the state’s renewable energy capacity, its green hydrogen economy, and carbon credit trading initiatives. He also outlined REC Ltd.’s financial solutions, which are designed to support a wide range of renewable energy projects.
