GAIL (India) Limited formally inaugurated Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) 2025 at its Corporate Office in New Delhi, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening cyber resilience in an increasingly digital world.
The event was inaugurated by R. K. Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL, who emphasized that this year’s theme, “Cyber Jagrit Bharat”, set by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), underscores the collective responsibility of protecting national critical infrastructure, including GAIL’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. He stressed that cyber vigilance is a shared responsibility, extending beyond IT teams to every employee across the organization.
Jain also highlighted GAIL’s proactive measures to reinforce its cyber defense framework, including the establishment of Security Operations Centres (SOCs), specialized employee training, and closer IT/OT integration. He urged employees and their families to adopt responsible cyber hygiene practices as part of their everyday digital interactions.
The launch event was connected to all major GAIL sites via video conferencing and featured an expert session by a noted cybersecurity professional, offering practical insights into evolving cyber threats and preventive strategies.
Throughout October, GAIL will conduct a series of activities, competitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions under CSAM 2025, aimed at building stronger cybersecurity awareness, preparedness, and resilience across its workforce and stakeholders.
By observing Cyber Security Awareness Month, GAIL reinforces its role in advancing the national vision of Cyber Jagrit Bharat, ensuring safer digital ecosystems for industry, employees, and the wider community.
