PNB signs MoU with BSNL to open employee salary accounts

Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide customised salary accounts for BSNL employees.

The agreement was formalised in New Delhi in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations, including Suresh Kumar Rana, Chief General Manager of PNB’s Business Acquisition & Relationship Management Division, along with Parveen Goyal, Sanjeev Bhardwaj, and Rajesh Kumar from PNB, and Prabhu Dayal Chirania and Shailender Kumar from BSNL.

Under the MoU, PNB will extend a specially designed salary account package offering a wide range of financial benefits aimed at enhancing employee convenience and security. Key features include:

  • Customised account number
  • Free Hospicash facility
  • Free term insurance and personal air & accidental insurance cover
  • Free accidental education cover and girl child marriage cover
  • Family banking benefits
  • Overdraft facility
  • Special concessions on home and car loans, including reduced interest, processing, and documentation charges

Speaking at the signing, PNB’s senior management emphasised the bank’s commitment to providing value-added financial services that support employees and their families, while fostering institutional partnerships for inclusive growth and financial well-being.

This collaboration reflects PNB’s focus on expanding its retail banking outreach and BSNL’s aim to deliver enhanced financial convenience to its workforce.
