New Delhi, 27 March 2025: Union of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) successfully held the 17th Automotive Design Challenge (ADC) with 19th SIAM Styling and Design Conclave. The theme of the event was “Innovation today, inspiring yesterday’s mobility”, which discussed the changing landscape of vehicle design and styling.
Major automobile designers, industry experts, and academics gathered at the event to discuss the future of automotive estateics and mobility solutions. In the inaugural speech, SIAM’s Executive Director, Prashant’s Banerjee said, “When there are changes in the sector of mobility, new innovation opportunities are opening in automobile design. India’s design dreams are getting recognition globally.”
In this event, VP (Design) of Ashok Leyland, G. Sathiyasilan stressed the need to convert the design into a movement. At the same time, Hero MotoCorp’s industrial studio head, Topilo Plaza Garcia said, “We have to take not only to the people continuously, but also to add emotionally.”
At the end of the Conclave, the Top Design Students were honored for their innovative views at the ADC 2024 award ceremony. The winners were the Mit Institute of Design, while Naga Karthik Jonnala and Silver Sisodia were recognized as the first runner-up and second runner-up.
The event worked to strengthen cooperation between industry and educational institutions and presented new approaches to shape the future of automotive design.
