Oil India Limited signed a Memorandum (MoU)with Guwahati Medical College, will provide modern Eurological Surgery Equipment

Taking an important step towards strengthening the infrastructure of health services in Assam, Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum (MoU) with Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), under which the company will provide modern European surgery equipment under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative program.

The MoU was signed by Executive Director (HR & FA), OIL and Professor Dr. Achyuta Chandra Baishya, Director Education- Chief Secretary, GMCH in presence of other officials from OIL and GMCH. This collaboration is a reflection of the company’s vision to improve healthcare services in OIL’s region.

Under this partnership, the oil will provide state -of -the -art thulium fiber laser (TFL) technology, which is a revolutionary advancement in Eurological Surgery. The TFL system aims to improve the treatment of conditions such as bladder stones, uninteresting prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and bladder tumors. Traditional Holumium: Compared to Yag Laser, TFL technique has high capabilities to pieces, dust and inactive stones, which will make more effective and minimal aggressive treatment possible and will also reduce the operation time.

This partnership is an important step of continuous commitment to the community welfare of Oil, which matches the country’s widespread development priorities with the aim of reducing India’s healthcare and inequalities. The supply of modern urological surgery equipment in GMCH will greatly promote health services in Assam, especially in the field of Eurology, which will improve the quality of medical care and will be more accessible to local residents.
