New Delhi, September 1, 2025 – In a significant step towards sustainable mobility and healthcare support, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has handed over three modern, air-conditioned electric buses to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
POWERGRID presented three fully air-conditioned, eco-friendly electric buses to AIIMS to improve patient and staff transport facilities.
The buses were flagged off jointly by Shri. R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID, and Shri. M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, in the presence of:
- Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID
- Shri. Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects), POWERGRID
- Shri. Jasbir Singh, Executive Director (CSR), POWERGRID
- Senior colleagues and POWERGRID staff who also graced the occasion.
The flag-off ceremony took place at AIIMS, New Delhi, on September 1, 2025. The initiative is aimed at supporting AIIMS with clean, green transport solutions, reducing carbon footprint while ensuring safe, comfortable, and reliable mobility for patients, staff, and visitors.
By deploying electric buses, POWERGRID is not only strengthening healthcare infrastructure but also contributing to sustainability goals in line with India’s push for green mobility solutions.
