We are delighted to announce that NTPC Mining Limited’s Pakri-Barwadih Coal Mining project has earned the 3rd Prize in the Large Opencast Coal Mine category at the inaugural Pan-India Level Mine Safety Award 2024, held in Kolkata on July 28.
This prestigious event, organized by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), aims to recognize and reward the best safety practices in the mining industry.
In a moment of great pride, the award was presented by Shri Prabhat Kumar, Chief Inspector (Mines) & Director General (DGMS), to Shri Shivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel), NTPC Ltd. & Chairman (NML), and Shri Faiz Taiyab, HoP (Pakri-Barwadih), in the presence of esteemed colleagues including Shri Chandra Shekhar, Mine Agent, and other senior officials from Coal Mining HQ and TSML.
Additionally, NML’s exhibition stall was awarded Best Stall in the Coal Sector, highlighting our dedication to innovation, unwavering commitment to safety, and operational excellence in the mining industry.
