40 sites in Gujarat and Maharashtra to host interactive street plays on workplace security
In order to strengthen security awareness among workers, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has launched a series of interactive, dazzling demonstrations called ‘Chaturlak’ across the bullet train construction sites. The initiative started on August 18, 2025, at the Ahmedabad site and will cover 40 places—29 in Gujarat and 11 in Maharashtra, with 11- Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor.
Street plays are designed to address important security practices in a simple, reliable manner. The themes include working at heights, operating heavy machinery, working near roads and railways and avoiding the use of mobile phones while on duty. Each performance emphasizes workers’ need to adopt security as their highest priority.
Keeping in mind the diverse background of the workforce, from different regions of the country and various dialects, the training is scripted in easy-to-understand language, ensuring effective communication in the audience.
The safety campaign will be staged at several types of project sites, including low-construction stations, casting yards, tunnel sites, depots, bridges, and viaducts in both states.
The effort follows the earlier success of NHSRCL, where 100 Nukkad Nataks are associated with over 15,000 construction workers, thereby becoming an integral part of the security awareness workforce culture.
A spokesperson of the NHSRCL stated that the organization is committed to creating a safe and secure working environment for each individual on the site. The spokesperson said, “‘Aterus’ Nukkad Natak is another step to strengthen our message that security is not just a need, but a responsibility,” the spokesperson said.
Through this initiative, NHSRCL continues to highlight its dedication to international security standards, ensuring that the bullet train project is not only a milestone in infrastructure but also a model of activist welfare and security.
