Ministry of Textiles’ Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) is hosting “Master Creation 2” from 1st to 15th December 2025 at Dilli Haat, INA, celebrating the creativity and skill of India’s top artisans. The exhibition brings together Padma Shri awardees, Shilp Gurus, Sant Kabir Awardees, National Awardees, and other highly skilled craftspersons from across the country.
Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Neelam Shami Rao, visited the exhibition and interacted with participating artisans and weavers. She encouraged them to embrace entrepreneurship, adopt digital tools, and highlighted the importance of empowering women artisans to enhance business opportunities and achieve financial independence.
The event features diverse craft traditions, including textiles, metal, wood, and stone work, terracotta, pottery, jewelry, leather, natural fiber crafts, and GI-tagged products from multiple states. Visitors can experience live craft demonstrations, engage directly with artisans, and witness the intricate techniques behind each creation.
In addition, the exhibition presents a rich cultural experience, with performances showcasing India’s performing arts, complementing the handicraft displays. Master Creation 2 aims to promote artisan livelihoods, preserve craft heritage, and provide direct market access, connecting creators with buyers, designers, and craft enthusiasts.
This initiative underscores the Government of India’s commitment to sustaining traditional crafts, promoting craft tourism, and supporting thousands of artisans nationwide.
