Indian Navy to host a shipbuilding seminar on “nation building through shipbuilding”
The Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau (WDB) will host a one -day ship construction seminar called “Nation Building Through Shipbuilding” at Manekshav Center in New Delhi on 23 July 2025.
This seminar is a historic milestone – 100th indigenously designed and manufactured warship (Y12652 – Udgiri) delivery by WDB and Indian Navy on 01 July 2025. The incident underlines the strategic importance of shipbuilding for India’s national defense, economic development and technical self -reliance.
The event is being organized by the Warship Design Bureau (WDB), which played an important role in India’s ship -making trip since its inception in 1964 as its inception. The Navy was named as the Directorate of Navy in 1970, and later WDB, the bureau contributed to the design of 20 types of warships, from sear defense to aircraft carriers.
