A Hindi Ceremony was organized at the Border Security Force (BSF) Headquarters in Delhi on September 27, 2024, under the leadership of Director General Shri Daljit Singh Chaudhary, IPS, in celebration of the promotion of the Hindi language. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a floral tribute to the goddess of knowledge, Saraswati. Students from the Kendriya Vidyalaya, BSF Chhawla, presented a captivating rendition of the Saraswati Vandana. All participating students were awarded mementos, and the Director General encouraged their efforts by presenting them with cash prizes for their excellent performance.
Continuing the event, the Director General released the Rajbhasha Appeal and awarded Rajbhasha Shields to various BSF Frontier Headquarters, training institutions, and directorates for their exemplary work in promoting Hindi throughout the year. Among the frontiers, Guwahati, Jammu, and Tripura received first, second, and third places, respectively. In training institutions, the Central School of Weapons and Tactics, Indore, BSF Academy, Tekanpur, and the Training Centre and School, Hazaribagh, secured first, second, and third places, respectively. In the directorate category, the Administration, Personnel, and Logistics Directorates claimed the top three spots. Additionally, 28 personnel who excelled in various Hindi competitions were awarded cash prizes and certificates by the Director General.
In his address, the Director General emphasized the importance of the Hindi language and encouraged officers and personnel to use Hindi more extensively in government operations. He praised the efforts of the Administration Directorate’s Rajbhasha Section for organizing various programs during Hindi Fortnight and congratulated the awardees, bringing the Hindi Ceremony to a close.
