The Banyan Alumni Get-Together 2024 took place on October 19, 2024, at DTEA Schools, Lodi Estate, organized by the Banyan-MEA DTEA Alumni Association under the leadership of Secretary Shri Raju Ramaswamy.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the Banyan alumni community to reconnect, fostering a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia. The program commenced with an Inaugural Ceremony featuring the Saraswati Vandana, a tribute to the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.
Following the ceremony, alumni toured the Activity Room, a center for creative expression, and the DTEA Science Centre, the school’s advanced science laboratory established in partnership with Agastya Science Centre. Over 50 alumni visited the exhibition, offering encouragement to students and inspiring them to explore science further. This successful collaboration was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Secretary Mr. R. Raju.
The newly constructed amphitheater served as a grand venue for performances. The program began with an inspiring speech by Meenakshi from Class 8A. Ms. Sunita welcomed the alumni with heartfelt gratitude, while Vatsala ma’am and Radhika ma’am urged alumni to contribute and support the school.
In her closing remarks, Principal Meena Sahani highlighted the enduring connection of alumni to their alma mater, emphasizing how the reunion reinforced the school’s rich heritage and the lifelong bonds among Banyan alumni.
