Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the Archaeological Experiential Museum, Prerna Complex, and Vadnagar Sports Complex in Vadnagar, Gujarat, on January 16, 2025. These initiatives celebrate Vadnagar’s 2,500-year-old heritage and showcase its historical contributions to culture, trade, and education.
Shri Amit Shah highlighted the unique features of the museum, which seamlessly integrates history and excavation to narrate Vadnagar’s rich past. Built at a cost of ₹300 crore, the museum offers a glimpse into the town’s ancient urban planning, spiritual pursuits, and cultural achievements. It stands as a testament to the legacy of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who envisions preserving India’s rich heritage.
Transforming Vadnagar into a Global Landmark
The Prerna Complex, inaugurated on this occasion, honors the school where Prime Minister Modi received his primary education. It now serves as a hub for learning and inspiration for students nationwide. Shri Shah also emphasized the vision of preparing Vadnagar’s youth for the 2036 Olympics with the inauguration of the state-of-the-art sports complex.
