GAIL Gas Limited has been honoured with the prestigious Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) Excellence Award 2025 for Operational Excellence in City Gas Distribution (CGD) for its Bengaluru Urban and Rural Geographical Area (GA). The recognition underscores GAIL Gas’s strong commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition through reliable and sustainable gas infrastructure.
The award was presented by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and received on behalf of GAIL Gas by CEO Gautam Chakraborty in the presence of PNGRB Chairperson Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Board Members, and senior dignitaries from the oil and gas sector. The felicitation took place during the 19th Foundation Day celebration of PNGRB.
Since commencing operations in 2015, GAIL Gas’s Bengaluru GA has achieved remarkable growth milestones, including surpassing the 1 MMSCMD gas sales mark. The company now operates 146 CNG stations, serves over 2 lakh domestic consumers and 500 industrial and commercial clients, and has laid more than 2,100 kilometres of pipeline infrastructure, comprising 272 km of steel and 1,863 km of MDPE pipelines.
