Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah today met the brave personnel of CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, DRG and Cobra units, who successfully executed ‘Operation Black Forest’ on Kariguttalu Hill. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma were also present in this ceremony.
The ‘Operation Black Forest,’ was successfully executed despite the largest-naxal operation, excessive heat, high altitude and continuous hazards of IEDs. The forces destroyed the base camp, material dump and supply chains of Naxalites, which suffered a significant blow to their stronghold.
Shri Amit Shah appreciated the operation as a gold chapter in the anti-Naxal history of India, stating that the bravery and valor of the jawan would always be remembered. He emphasized that such operations bring hope and security for millions of people in Naxal -affected areas.
According to Mr. Amit Shah, the success of anti-Naxal operations has already changed the lives of 6.5 crore people living from Pashupatinath to Tirupati, which enabled access to schools, hospitals and government schemes.
Union Home Minister reiterated the unbreakable commitment of the Modi government: We will not rest until every Naxalite either surrenders, caught, or ends.
He further assured that the government is constantly making efforts to support the security forces, which caused serious injuries in the line of duty.
Ministry of Home Affairs will continue to coordinate with the central and state forces to maintain the speed of anti-soft operations, restore peace, ensure development and protect citizens’ rights in affected areas.
