The primary objective of three new criminal laws launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is to ensure quick justice. Goa should become an ideal state in effectively implementing new criminal laws. Investigation and prosecution should be strictly followed to ensure quick justice. Set a target of achieving a 90% sentence rate in criminal cases sentenced to more than 7 years. Union Home Minister and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah presided over a review meeting on the implementation of three new criminal laws in Goa in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in New Delhi today. The meeting reviewed the implementation of various new provisions related to police, jail, courts, prosecution and forensic in Goa. The meeting was attended by Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of Goa and Director General of Police, Director General of Police Research and Development Bureau (BPRD), Director of National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and other senior officials of the Government of Goa.

Shri Amit Shah emphasized the importance of strictly adherence to the investigation and prosecution in prosecution to ensure quick justice. He highlighted the need to achieve a 90% sentence rate in criminal cases provided for more than seven years. The Home Minister also emphasized the compulsory registration of all investigating officers (IOs) on e-evidence platforms and directed the complete implementation of e-SAM in Goa by 31 March 2025.
Union Home Minister and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah reiterated that senior police officers should regularly monitor cases related to murder, terrorism and murder by mob so that the misuse of related provisions can be prevented. Permission of Superintendent of Police level officer should be taken before registering a case under these sections. Mr. Shah also directed the police to ensure that the property recovered from the criminals should be returned to its real owners as per the provisions of new criminal laws.
Mr. Amit Shah emphasized the need to obtain a 100% forensic sample check and directed to strictly follow this target. He urged the Chief Minister of Goa, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to continuously review the progress of the implementation of the three new laws.
