REC Limited under the Ministry of Electricity recorded its most quarter net profit for the quarter of ₹ 4,451 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1 FY26). The announcement was made after a meeting of the Board of Directors, which also approved Standalone and Integrated Financial Results for the quarter and declared the first interim dividend of Rs 4.60 per equity share.
REC Limited has recorded its best quarterly financial performance in its history, inspired by a strong growth in all commercial works. The company also declared an interim dividend, confirming its commitment to price creation for shareholders.
Financial results are related to the end of June 30, 2025. The board held a meeting on July 24, 2025 to approve limited review results.
The announcement was made from the corporate office of REC in New Delhi after the board meeting.
The report was presented by the Board of Directors of REC Limited, which also approved the announcement of the interim dividend. REC is a leading financial institution in India’s power sector, playing an important role in energy financing and development.
Record -breaking advantage is the result of strong harassment growth, better asset quality and prudent financial management. The company distributed ₹ 59,508 crore in Q1 FY26, which is 36% higher than Q1 FY25, there has been an increase of 35% in disbursement in renewable energy sector. The company’s total income rose 13 per cent to Rs 14,734 crore, while net interest income increased by 17 per cent to Rs 5,247 crore. These factors increased the net profit by 29%.
Rec maintained its financial strength with a net interest margin (NIM) of 3.74% and 2.96%. A Strong Focus on Operational Efficiency and Low Credit Losses Has Helped Reduce The Asset of 77.05% Provision with Coverage Ratio (PCR) to Reduce the Asset 0.24% (Bellow 0.82% in Q1 FY25). Return on Net Worth (Ronw) Increased to 312 Base Points to 22.63% as compared to the previous year. Annual Income (EPS) Per Share Increased From ₹ 52.28 to ₹ 67.60, which shows an increase of 29% year-on-yar.
Rec’s Loan Book Continued to Increase, Which Reached Rs 5.85 Lakh Crore by June 30, 2025, as Compared to Rs 5.30 Lakh Crore in the Same Quarter of the previous year. With the support of this performance, the net worth increasing to ₹ 79,688 Crore.
