IAF’s Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) worked seamlessly with Indian Army’s Akashteer and Indian Navy’s Trigun, forming a joint operational backbone.
The event, themed ‘Fostering Greater Jointness – Synergy through Shared Learning in Inspection, Aviation Standards, and Aerospace Safety’, underscored the need for integration across all defence domains.
Raksha Mantri emphasized that jointness is a core operational necessity, reflecting a government commitment to integration among the Tri-Services, Indian Coast Guard (ICG), BSF, and DGCA.
Initiatives like Army’s CICG, Air Force’s IMMOLS, and Navy’s Integrated Logistics Management System are transforming logistics. Work has started on a Tri-Services Logistics Application to optimize cross-service resources.
A unified approach in aviation safety and cyber domains was highlighted as essential. Services must respect each other’s traditions while harmonizing standards to enhance operational effectiveness.
Raksha Mantri stressed that achieving jointness requires dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect, alongside structural reforms and mindset evolution.
In today’s complex security environment, no single service can operate in isolation. Tri-services integration strengthens India’s preparedness, operational efficiency, and resilience in both traditional and non-traditional threats.
Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of the Naval Staff, Chief of the Air Staff, senior officials from IAF, Indian Army, Indian Navy, ICG, BSF, DGCA, and defence veterans attended the seminar.
