New Delhi, August 15, 2025 – Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour across its establishments in the country. The celebrations were led by Sh. R. K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), in the presence of Sh. G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel); Sh. Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects); along with senior officials and employees of POWERGRID.
The event was led by POWERGRID CMD, Sh. R. K. Tyagi, accompanied by company directors and senior officials, ensuring participation from all regions and employee groups.
The occasion marked the nationwide celebration of Independence Day across POWERGRID offices and project sites, reinforcing the company’s values of unity, inclusivity, and nation-building. The celebrations were held on 15th August 2025, in sync with the national festivities.
The programme spanned POWERGRID’s corporate headquarters, regional offices, and project sites across India, bringing together employees from diverse backgrounds.
The celebration aimed to instill patriotic values, promote inclusive language in the workplace, and encourage collective responsibility towards Atmanirbhar Bharat and sustainable growth.
Through flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, and employee participation, the event promoted team spirit, inclusivity, and recognition of POWERGRID’s role in strengthening India’s energy infrastructure.
