NTPC’s Kerandari Coal Mining Project (KDCMP) has launched a heartfelt and eco-friendly initiative, “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम,” as part of Swachhta Pakhwada 2024. This campaign encourages employees to plant saplings in honor of their mothers, celebrating motherhood while promoting environmental sustainability.
Participants gathered to share meaningful moments and capture selfies to raise awareness about the initiative. The CSR team expanded the initiative by distributing saplings to students in project-affected villages and to local representatives from Pandu and Bengwari panchayats, fostering community involvement in nature conservation.
Shri Shiv Prasad, Head of Project, commended the employees for their enthusiastic participation. The campaign received widespread appreciation from employees, students, and local leaders, marking another significant step in NTPC Kerandari’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
